This product is white to milky white crystalline powder, odorless. Soluble in 1000 parts of water, 3 parts of ether or 2000 parts of peanut oil.

Uses

Propyl gallate is not carcinogenic and it has a low acute toxicity,is of no concern for genotoxic activity.This product is mainly used as an antioxidant additive in fats, oil-containing foods and pharmaceutical preparations.PG is also an oil-soluble antioxidant allowed in China and widely used abroad. China stipulates that the product can be used for edible fats, fried foods, biscuits, instant noodles, instant cooked rice, canned nuts, dried fish products and cured bacon products.It is used as a triplet state quencher and an antioxidant in fluorescence microscopy.

Store in a closed container away from light and avoid contact with metal.
